At Lower Kirkgate and Bank Bottom, which will be realigned to provide a smoother and faster route with no need for a right turn across traffic when travelling northbound. We’re adding a filter for Cripplegate too, to keep southbound traffic moving. There will be a new crossing on Lower Kirkgate so people can cross the road safely.

Moving forward with Halifax town centre improvements

Work will soon complete on improvements around the top of Halifax, with new road layouts, routes and junctions as part of a wider project to make all types of travel easier and safer.
